Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience, Epic proficiency, and pediatric echo experience for a 3x12 day shift travel assignment in Southern New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based echo lab setting within a multi-site health system
• Travelers may be floated based on need across up to 5 hospital locations within the system (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
• May float to a Voorhees location to provide NICU/PICU support
• Adult and pediatric patient population, including complex pediatric cardiac cases
• Procedures include 2D Echo, TEE, Bubble Studies, Pharmacologic and Treadmill Stress Echo, Portable Studies, Contrast Imaging, M-Mode, Color Doppler, and Calculations (Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/Volume, PISA)
• Pediatric echo skills include evaluation of anomalies such as Coarctation of the Aorta, Hypoplastic Heart Syndrome, Tetralogy of Fallot, Transposition of the Great Vessels, and Tricuspid/Pulmonary Atresia
• Primary equipment used includes GE systems
• Epic EMR — experience required
• Schedule is Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Perform adult and pediatric echocardiograms across a range of modalities including TEE, stress echo, contrast studies, and portable exams
• Procedures in ICU and ED settings are expected
• Skills in IV insertion, contrast administration, 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition, and isolation precautions/PPE are required
• Fit testing is required prior to working on unit; candidates must be clean shaven
• Travelers are expected to complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing
• RTO must be submitted at time of profile submission; RTO requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO is permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Candidates with 4 or fewer days of RTO will be prioritized
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the primary facility location may be considered at a different pay rate
• Travel pairs are not accepted — candidates must be submitted and considered individually
• Charge/lead experience is preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of echo/cardiac sonography experience, with experience in specialty within the last 12 months
• Current BLS required
• CCI RCS and RDCS certifications required — license required if applicable
• All certifications and licenses must be active and in hand; pending credentials are not accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Pediatric echo experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• COVID-19 vaccine required — no exemptions
• Flu vaccine required — no exemptions
• Two current professional references required for consideration
