    Description

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    This position is responsible for all the following:Work every scheduled work day including weekends and overtime as required.

    Understand and comply with all PPE requirements at all times, work safely every day and encourage all team members to do the same.

    Read and interpret blueprints, bills of material, and work instructions as necessary to perform each assigned task.
    Perform all tasks per established quality and efficiency standards.
    Provide training and assistance to other employees as assigned.
    Follow action and communication protocols for nonstandard deviation in processes or materials.
    Perform other duties as assigned.


    SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
    Assemble materials.
    Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reportsClean parts thoroughly.
    Review work activities with lead.
    Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits.

    Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering or micro-welding equipment.

    Tag components.
    Adjust or repair electrical equipment.
    Correct defects.
    Test product to ensure conformance to specifications.
    Build products such as electric motors, computers, electronic control devices, and sensing equipment.
    Perform manual assembly during the small-scale production of electronic devices used in avionic systems, military systems, and medical equipment.
    Modify electromechanical devices such as household appliances, CT scanners, or vending machines.
    Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment.

    Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

    Populate or modify/replace components on printed circuit board assemblies.
    Test functional performance.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Creativity, initiative, detail-oriented, results-focused
    • Self-motivated and can work with moderate direction and mentoring.
    • Personal motivation for success.
    High School Diploma, GED or similar experience.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT:


    The performance of this position will require exposure to areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes and other mandatory safety equipment.

    For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.


    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


    Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screenProfessionalism, flexibility, critical thought process and creativityAbility to learn and work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workflow.
    Project management experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment) will be an asset.
    Regular and reliable attendanceRegular contact with all levels of personnel throughout the organizationTravel will be expected as needed. Able to travel within North AmericaFollow all safety policies and procedures.
    Follow appropriate dress code.
