    POSITION PURPOSE:


    A senior management position that provides strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of York plant operations to ensure maximum production.

    Ensures the operations are performing efficiently and profitably.

    The role provides functional leadership and is accountable for the overall plant operations, direction, coordination, and support of the various functions across the plant site.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
    Oversee plant operations, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and quality control.

    Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure that total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

    Assist in the development and annual business plan and department objectives for Operations.
    Monitor performance of all Operations functions and make recommendations for improvements as necessary.
    Develop and maintain the culture of the company. Maintain programs and policies to ensure a highly effective and motivated workforce. Establish goals and KPIs to achieve a high performance, team-oriented culture.
    Keep General Manager and executive team informed of new developments, production trends, and operations progress.
    Participate in preparation of the operation budget and is responsible for operation of plant within the budget.
    Work collaboratively through the General Manager and with other business units to ensure company-wide profitability goals are met.

    Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems, as appropriate to the objectives of the plant.

    Ensure all city, county, state, and federal regulations are met at all times.

    Direct, maintain, and enforce the safety program for all plant equipment and personnel; review safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all plant employees.

    Ensure compliance with all appropriate environmental and safety procedures and practices.

    Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment, replacing or making adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary; establish and maintain spare parts inventory.

    Communicate frequently and effectively to Operations groups and other teams to ensure short and long-range organizational goals are achieved and report achievements effectively to the General Manager.

    Participate in maintenance planning to determine and plan required projects, status of ongoing projects, and scheduling of future projects.

    Establish and implement department objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate program effectiveness; effect change required for improvement while maintaining the message from the executive ranks.

    Directly manage staff throughout the plant operation. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

    Conduct employee performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine competency, knowledge, and contribution of the supervisory staff; set guidelines and monitor the procedures used by supervisors to conduct their evaluations.

    Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training plant employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Willingness to take on additional and other responsibilities as assigned and needed to successfully contribute to the development of Pellet Technology USA as a company and growing entity.

    Responsible for production of safe animal food and adherence to internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).


    Education/Certification:
    Bachelor degree in Engineering preferred

    Required Knowledge

    & Experience:

    7+ plus years' experience in plant production, industrial process operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience in processing required
    A Broad-based professional with strategic insight and proven in-depth experience in operations management
    Integrity; and the experience, confidence, and stature to effectively address senior-level interpersonal relations
    Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements
