Additional Job Description:
West Virginia University School of Medicine Eastern Division is seeking a Family Medicine Physician (ranks available: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). The selected candidate is required to practice in Berkeley and/or Jefferson counties in WV.
Duties:
The chosen candidate will work in the field of Family Medicine. Alongside delivering exceptional patient care, they will actively participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications:
The candidate must hold an MD or DO degree or its foreign equivalent. A state medical license and DEA registration are mandatory before the start date. Completion of a Family Medicine residency program is necessary. Board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine is also required before the appointment.
Our location in the Eastern Panhandle is just over an hour away from Washington, D.C., and Baltimore, MD. Enjoying a rural setting and a lower cost of living, combined with easy access to Washington DC and Baltimore, makes the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place to reside. Although Berkeley County is one of the fastest-growing in the state, traffic congestion is minimal. In recent times, the area has seen an increase in urban professionals from Washington, DC, and Baltimore, contributing to the growth of local telecommuting and high-tech industries.
