    We are GatewayRegional Medical Center. Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities

    • Collects data and collaborates with the RNs in the assessment processes of patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises.
    • Facilitates the implementation of nursing care plans promoting emotional well-being as delegated.
    • Monitors safety of patients and the environment of care.
    • Fosters a safe and nurturing environment that encourages and reinforces constructive interactions amongst patients.
    • Educates patients on interpersonal and self-care skills.
    • Assists patients with activities of daily living.
    • Conducts age-appropriate psycho-educational groups.
    • Recognizes critical and obvious changes in patient conditions and reacts promptly.
    • Communicates patient care observations and safety concerns to members of the multidisciplinary team.

    Education

    Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.

    Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

    Experience

    • Experience in healthcare is preferred.
    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required.
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
