    Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal Centers – UPMC has an opening for a fellowship-trained adult joint reconstruction surgeon to work in a Total Joint Center of Excellence facility, located in Pittsburgh's desirable northern suburbs.


    Opportunity Details

    • Provide patient care in wellequipped offices and at an exceptional community hospital with close tertiary backup.
    • Opportunities exist to participate in training via UPMC's adult reconstruction fellowship.
    • Skills should include joint revision and periprosthetic fracture management.
    • Candidates with experience in robotically assisted hip and knee arthroplasty and/or direct anterior hip arthroplasty will have additional opportunities to advance care in our region.
    • Assess and treat patients in an outpatient clinic, supported by a team that includes an advanced practice provider, medical assistants and surgical schedulers.
    • Operate at a 400bed, 21OR facility with a dedicated orthopedic unit, robotic capabilities and onstaff access to medical specialists. First assisting will be provided by orthopedic advanced practice providers; a fulltime orthopedic hospitalist APP supports the inpatient service.
    • Night and weekend oncall coverage in a 13physician rotation, paired with an orthopedic advanced practice provider, who triages all afterhours calls and assists with weekend rounds and surgeries.
    • Engage with the hospital's Total Joint Replacement Center of Excellence team and other relevant committees/workgroups.
    • Board certification or eligibility is required.
