    **Fuel Desk Cashier | PT | Evenings**

    **Department:** Driver Services **Location:** Portland, OR

    **Jubitz Travel Center in North Portland is currently seeking applicants for part-time Cashiers at our Fuel Desk**

    **The anticipated schedule for this position is 2:45pm to 11pm, with some flexibility required.**

    **Cashier experience is strongly preferred, but we will provide training** **We offer good pay, great cash incentives, and awesome managers and co-workers.**

    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for a variety of cashier functions within our Driver Services department including authorizing credit purchases, cashing checks and wire transfers for customers, receiving payments for store products and driver shower facilities, and balancing a till during each shift.

    Provide a world class customer experience for all patrons, including the operation of our truck scale, entering billing information into the system, and providing receipts as needed. Additional duties, such as cleaning and stocking, may be assigned as needed by management and supervisors.

    Qualifications & Experience

    High school diploma or GED preferred.

    Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

    At least one-year cash-handling experience is preferred.

    Must be able to handle a wide variety of personalities and problem situations to achieve highest possible level of customer satisfaction.

    Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without constant direction.

    A great team player attitude.

    Able to operate cash register and count change to customers.

    Excellent communication skills to include reading, writing, listening, & speaking; strong command of the English language is required.

    Must be able to obtain Oregon Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of hire.

    This position functions primarily in the Driver Services building, though at times may need to attend the gas station fuel pumps and deli. The employee may be required to stand for prolonged periods of time, operate a cash register, and communicate verbally and in writing. The employee may occasionally be required to lift 25 pounds to waist and frequently required to lift 10 pounds to chest or above.
