    The Regional HR Director for the West Region will lead, plan and direct our talent policies, activities, and local HR team to ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are delivered in an effective, efficient manner aligned to overall business objectives and talent strategy.

    The HR Director will help support the business by developing relationships with Regional Leadership to drive employee engagement and an inclusive culture where all employees can thrive by supporting programs targeted throughout the employee lifecycle.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides HR guidance to Regional Leadership
  • Manages local HR team staff to effectively drive employee engagement and inclusive culture
  • May coordinate with HR COEs in Merger & Acquisition processes, including HR Due Diligence and Integration.
  • Develops new job descriptions and amends existing as needed
  • Ensures effective orientation and on-boarding activities for all new employees.
  • Works with local leadership in the planning effort within business segments to ensure staff are trained to accomplish business objectives.
  • Supports talent strategy including talent acquisition, performance management and learning initiatives.
  • Assures wage administration policies are equitable and appropriate within the guidelines of corporate budget, marketplace considerations and job analysis.
  • Provides advice and guidance on employee relations' issues, progressive discipline, and documentation requirements to management.
  • Works with leadership to develop and monitor the organization's culture.
  • Promotes positive employee relationships through communication and interpretation of HR Policies
  • Educate and support local management on employee relations and employee performance issues.
  • EDUCATION AND/OR PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA in Human Resources or related discipline preferred, Master's Degree preferred
  • SHRM- SCP, SPHR and other HR related professional certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of HR experience managing the Human Resource Function
  • Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of human resources
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of all federal, state and local employment laws and fair employment practices
  • Solid interviewing and assessment ability.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently both with and without direct supervision and in a team environment
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Must be able to travel by plane to visit office locations and operate effectively in a hybrid work environment
  • Workforce development and culture alignment experience
  • Excellent employee issue resolution skills and conflict management skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with senior leaders from all functional backgrounds
  • Strong leadership and consulting skills with the ability to build trust, respect, and cooperation
  • Relationship management, coaching, collaboration skills a must
