Job summary
We are currently seeking a Full Time Medication Technician to join our team at Aiken County Detention Center located in Aiken, South Carolina.We partner with our clients to provide quality healthcare uncompromising standards guaranteed performance and unrivaled client satisfaction.
About this position
The Medication Technician is responsible for providing support to the medical staff at the site as needed.- Prepare and maintain operational records reports and logs utilizing appropriate grammar alphabetizing labeling Properly processes all reports documents in a timely manner Filing/scanning into EMR appropriately timely Maintain Fax record request log process records requested sent out Performs immediate temporary interventions emergency situations Perform clinic activities obtaining vital signs performing EKGs weight checks treatments scope certification Observes examines inmates detect symptoms require medical attention Assist assigned clerical duties filing scanning ordering supplies restocking work areas Completes daily assigned workload reports supervisor Administers medications treatments directed Maintain confidentiality privacy patients patients private health information Perform venipuncture lab analysis trained Identify errors potential error opportunities report supervisor Work cooperatively correctional staff situations medical needs inmate/patient conflict correctional needs facility Assist training requested supervisors corporate Participates scheduled inservices assigned supervisor Attend monthly meetings Infection Control COI meetings scheduled Practice safety accountability correctional environment Follows Infection control/prevention guidelines Ensure current knowledge GENESYS HEALTH policy procedures state/federal laws state certification guidelines NCCHC standards site operational workflow Other duties assigned or requested GENESYS HEALTH corporate direct supervisor scope practice
