    Process Safety Engineer (Onsite role)

    Location: Pittsburg, California, United States

    (Role overview)

    The Process Safety Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the Safe Operation for Pittsburg facility by taking ownership of all Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) programs. The Process Safety Engineer drives the creation, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of process safety initiatives, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks and uphold the highest standards of safety within the organization.

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES


    • BS in Chemical Engineering or a related field.


    • Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in process safety or experience within a PSM facility with highly hazardous chemical management.


    • In-depth knowledge of the 14 elements of Process Safety Management and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA's Process Safety Standard 29 CFR


    • Strong leadership and project management skills with a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.


    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.


    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders.


    • Experience in conducting process hazard analyses (PHA) and incident investigations

    PREFERRED COMPETENCIES


    • Manufacturing experience in chlorAkali or other chlorine derivative process
