    Description

    Host at Vandelay Hospitality Group

    A Host at Vandelay Hospitality Group plays a pivotal role in delivering top-notch service to guests. Your main focus is to ensure every guest feels welcomed and at ease from the moment they arrive, managing seating arrangements efficiently. You'll be well-versed in our reservations system, overseeing private bookings, events, and walk-in guests seamlessly. Answering calls with a friendly demeanor, you'll make sure guests feel valued even over the phone, always picking up within 3 rings.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional service to guests, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere while they wait for seating.
    • Build and nurture guest relationships on a personal level.
    • Strategize seating arrangements effectively using RESY reservation software.
    • Thoroughly review guest profiles, notes, and special requests to enhance service quality.
    • Maintain RESY database accurately with post-service notes and reservation updates.
    • Possess in-depth knowledge of menu items, table layouts, and seat numbering.
    • Communicate effectively with guests and team members, delivering information clearly and professionally.
    • Follow opening, mid-shift, closing, and side work procedures diligently.

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience as a Host in upscale dining or hospitality setting.
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent writing, communication, and phone skills.
    • Team player with exceptional punctuality, reliability, and professionalism.
    • Experience with RESY reservation system and CRM software is a bonus.
    • Display urgency, strong work ethic, and organizational skills in fast-paced environments.
    • Fluency in written and spoken English.
    • Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift weights up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
