    Job Purpose:
    Under the direction of the Automation Engineering Manager, you will design and implement electrical control systems. These systems include PLC controls, operator interfaces, variable frequency drives, and other specialty control system features.

    You will also support the construction of control systems, including the manufacturing of UL508A control panels, perform equipment testing in the factory, commissioning equipment in the field and execute acceptance testing for our customers.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Assess project requirements and undertake relevant research
    Design, improve and troubleshoot control systems for machines and equipment
    Coordinate with contractors performing electrical design services
    Produce and implement designs and test procedures
    Develop control programs using PLC, HMI and VFDs
    Direct and technically assist during equipment assembly or installation
    Execute technical assignments within schedule and budget constraints
    Provide technical support for our manufacturing facility, our field technicians and customers
    Commission machines and equipment in house and in the field
    Identify and procure materials and components as needed for control panel and system fabrication and assembly
    Create and review O&M manuals
    Must maintain a clean driving record as you may be required to drive a company vehicle at times
    Be willing to travel for short periods of time for evaluations, service or commissioning


    Job Requirements:
    Minimum of 2 years experience in the design, development, and implementation of control systems including PLC programming and HMI development
    Solid understanding of VFD applications and tuning

    Experience with Microsoft Office products:
    Excel, Word, Outlook
    Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
    Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to complete tasks without constant supervision
    Strong problem-solving skills
    Strong attention to detail
    Must have good time management and organizational skills
    Must be willing to work on-site; this is not a remote position
