    Description
    The Operations Support (OP3) safely conducts activities related to safety, quality, food manufacturing production processes and overall plant operations; to ensure finished product meets food safety and quality requirements. Tasks performed in this role could include:
  • Quality Assurance
  • Sanitation
  • Materials Delivery
  • Assist warehouse
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Train organization and monitoring
  • Rework and Recycling
    Outside of these responsibilities the Operations Support Specialist will support breaks within the following duties:
  • Popping
  • Packaging
    PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Safety:
  • Adhere to all safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized production area to promote a safe work environment
  • Notify supervisor immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered
    Quality:
  • Perform all the required quality checks, verifications, readings, tests, audits and other daily, weekly and monthly Q.A. related tasks in compliance of HACCP and SQF plans along with Q.A. and production programs
  • Maintain and demonstrate a thoughtful understanding of processing specifications for varying products
  • Assess and report quality related trends, concerns and requests to the Q.A. Manager
  • Resolve concerns identified under Quality Assurance Programs
  • Demonstrate an understanding of electronic inventory tracking system (InnaTrack)
  • Order and receive materials
  • Perform safety and quality checks
    Production:
  • Provide break relief support to line operators
  • Safely operate fork truck to load and unload cartages, pick up, transport and stack pallets
  • Operate multiple electric kettles, simultaneously
  • Remove popped corn from kettles and dispense into bins
  • Perform rework
  • Deliver raw ingredients to line popping stations promptly
  • Assemble corrugate items into cases or displays, package bags and palletize finished product to match specification
  • Operate pallet jack and electric pallet wrapper
  • Fix minor issues with packaging equipment
  • Complete finished goods in InnaTrack
  • Label finished goods with accuracy
  • Assist or lead continuous improvement projects
  • Fill in on other shifts and work Saturday on occasion
    SANITATION:
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and housekeeping tasks together with Master Sanitation Schedule
  • Maintain Master Sanitation Schedule and inventory usage logs
  • Ensure sanitation responsibilities are completed per department standards
  • Perform sanitation tasks to clean and sanitize all production equipment

  • Reliable and able to work within a team
  • Train, assist and lead employees (new and current) for development in required operational skills
  • Adhere to all Angie's Artisan Treats procedures
    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four year College or university; or one to two years related training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Language Skills:
  • Will use the English language, in verbal and written form
  • interpret work instructions and safety rules using English
  • Analyze common internal reports and supporting documents
  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
  • Floor staff and plant management
    Mathematical Skills:
  • Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
    Reason Ability:
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Interpret an variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
    Computer Skills:
  • Develop basic excel and word spreadsheets along with basic PowerPoint presentations
