The University of California Berkeley seeks an Events Coordinator for its Center for Law Technology BCLT.
Responsibilities
- Assists with event coordination including communication registration implementation postevent reporting budget reconciliation.
- Coordinates communications monitors speaker guest registration responds to speaker requests assists in processing event budgets expenses reimbursements identifies resolves errors through timely reconciliation of postevent costs maintains comprehensive events calendar proactively identifying resolving scheduling conflicts attends all events providing dayof operational support supports virtual events when needed performs other duties assigned works directly under supervision BCLTs Executive Director coordinating executing BCLTs extensive calendar student programming events including recruiting fairs career mixers networking opportunities promotes student events to student community email social media printed material organizes BCLT Certificate Program curriculum outline engagement awards ceremony fosters student engagement wherever possible coordinates array communication strategies engage students faculty alumni current future sponsors broader BCLT community activities include preparing written visual materials creating targeted correspondences preparing assisting developing content website BCLE platform social media works directly student assistants coordinate projects facilitate administrative functions communications program support database updates reporting cofacilitates coconducts student assistant interviews onboarding semester delegates work oversees successful completion projects tasks assigned contributes maintenance reporting capabilities BCLTs Salesforce Monday databases reports outwardfacing programs sponsor activities maintaining customized database contacts required qualifications solid organizational skills demonstrated ability prioritize coordinate several projects simultaneously demanding timeframes good judgment effective decisionmaking problem resolution skills recognizing dealing effectively appropriately real potential problem areas determining issuesproblems that need brought attention higher level staff management ability work variety groups students staff faculty general public production personnel technical operators performing artists ability work professionally pressure tight deadlines ensuring excellent customer service support good computer skills proficiency Microsoft Office Google Suite videoaudio conferencing platforms familiar comfortable using Zoom detailoriented able rapidly accurately deadline pressure interruptdriven environment demonstrated commitment fostering inclusive supportive environment collaboration mutual respect members UC Berkeley community stakeholders demonstrate strong interpersonal skills engaging understand individuals varied academic socioeconomic cultural disability gender ethnic backgrounds highly effective written oral communication interpersonal skills successfully interact various constituents present information appropriate needs audience excellent analytical skills thinking creatively solve problems develop solutions occasional evenings early mornings prepare attend events selfstarter take initiative independently team maintain discretion confidentiality times preferred qualifications knowledge campus infrastructure experience managing planning events outreach developing budgets communicating strategies generating reports tracking data maintaining databases
