    The Industrial Engineer II is responsible for supporting and leading process management and improvement in all areas of ODW operations.

    Responsibilities include development and implementation of technical solutions and overall optimization of space, labor, and equipment to meet client requirements.

    This "hands on" position will lead mid-level to complex projects, provide guidance to operations leaders, and spend considerable time "on the floor", directly interfacing with various levels of the operations team.


    Essential Functions:


    Maximizes safety, service, quality, and productivity throughout operations by utilizing best practice techniques in the areas of facility layout, operating methods, material handling concepts, and measurements.

    Leads the evaluation of current processes to identify, recommend and implement improvement opportunities in work methods, procedures, systems or equipment to increase throughput, waste reduction, quality, and safety.

    Tracks results of project implementations and develops case studies for both internal and external customers.
    Leads analysis activities and needs assessments, to meet ODW business objectives by delivering quantifiable results through process improvement initiatives.
    Develops process flow and VSM analysis to capture current operations and identify process improvements.
    Directs, supports, and facilitates LEAN thinking and behaviors throughout operations.
    Reviews labor performance, reporting methods, forecasts, systems, and procedures to ensure productivity is meeting targets.
    Produces and maintains CAD layouts of facilities.
    Provides and implements continuous improvement & cost leadership strategies.

    Provides Senior Management with data and recommendations to make effective decisions regarding the optimal utilization of people, materials, equipment, and resources.

    Is adept at retrieving and researching data from various sources (WMS, TMS, BI, and Shipping Systems) and translate into meaningful information to support action plan.

    Performs other duties as assigned.
    Education and Experience
    A degree in Industrial Engineering or related operations discipline is preferred.
    2+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in Supply Chain.

    Must be able to assume leadership role in a fast paced, team-oriented environment dedicated to delighting the customer and achievement of safety, quality and productivity goals in a time sensitive environment.

    Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, managers, teammates, and prospective customers.

    Extreme proficiency in MS Office Suite products including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
    AutoCAD or other 2D Design Software experience preferred.
    Strong project management, organizational skills, and analytical abilities
    Experience with multi-shift operations preferred.
