Essential Functions

• Safely operate and maintain positive control of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) throughout all ground and flight operations, adhering to air traffic control clearances and established procedures.
• Ability to manage flight schedules, airspace, resources, and other flight operation aspects.
• Travel may be necessary.
• Possibility of weekend work.
• Perform other necessary duties.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• FAA Part 107 Certificate is a must.
• Prior experience in UAV flying and technical aspects is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Bonus if experienced in Leica Cyclone.
• 1-3 years of Land Surveying experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and listening skills are essential.
• Proficient in operating computers and technical software.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., standing/walking for 8+ hours daily, and exposure to various weather conditions. The UAV Technician will primarily work in the field alongside the survey crew, often in busy areas or construction sites. Some noise exposure is expected.
