    Amtec's client is focused on the design, development, and manufacture of specialty fluid and motion control products for demanding aerospace and defense applications.

    Their products are flying on most commercial and military aircraft, including single- and twin-aisle air transport, business and regional jets, military transports and fighters, and commercial and military rotorcraft.

    Other markets include unmanned aircraft, shipboard applications, and military ground vehicles.


    Position Summary:
    The Sr. Systems Engineer is responsible for system, subsystem and component level technical analysis designs.

    This position supports the engineering team in collaborative design and development of fluid controls, motors, gauges and actuation systems in multiple aerospace and military applications.

    Principal Activities

    Provide technical design and analysis assistance to design engineering teams as required, ensuring designs/analysis meet customer expectations.

    Perform fatigue, flow, structural, thermal, vibration and dynamic analysis of systems, subsystems and components.

    Ensure verification of design requirements are met through analysis.

    Perform hand calculations efficiently and accurately were necessary.

    Perform structural finite element analysis of conventional and complex fluid controls, gauges, motors and actuation systems.

    Collaborate with design engineering on New Production Introduction Projects with analysis-based design recommendations.

    Evaluate designs with structural analysis at high temperatures.

    Support sustaining engineering projects with analysis of failures from production, MRO and customers.

    Train non-senior level systems engineers in analysis techniques and software.

    Maintain analysis tool library, including vetting and proposing new software tools.

    Collaborates with A&D company SME on analysis techniques and software.

    Creates and maintains analysis design standards, calculations and templates.


    Job Requirements:
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Relevant experience in development, analysis, certification and design of aerospace components within a cross-functional team environment.

    Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information and ideas in a variety of media

    Ability to communicate effectively across mediums, audiences, and situations.

    Analytical skills and solution-driven thinking; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data

    Makes sound engineering decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment.

    Proficiency with fluid, structural, thermal and stress analysis tools (i.e

    Ansys, MATLAB, ).

    Education

    Required:
    Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and 11(+) years of experience in

    pneumatic/hydraulic

    industry.

    Required:
    Advanced degree in Engineering and 6(+) years of experience in

    pneumatic/hydraulic

    industry
