    Description

    Actalent is hiring a Lab Technician in South Chesterfield, Virginia.

    Job Description:

    • Process various types of samples and maintain related quality assurance documentation
    • Processing samples and maintain quality assurance documentation in both Chemistry and Microbiology lab
    • Report and verify results for all types of lab tests
    • Participate in the operations of all areas of the lab, including but not limited to quality management systems tasks
    • Notify management if departure from normal procedure is identified

    Additional Skills & Qualifications:

    • Must have High School Diploma
    • At least 1 year of laboratory experience in food industry
    • Ability to work in temperature conditions beetween 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as documentation is a large part of the role
    • Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present in a professional demeanor and work independently and on a team

    Work Environment:

    Schedule: Monday to Friday

    Shift: 10:00am - 7:00pm

    Must be able to work every third weekend (Saturday or Sunday)
