    Description


    This role plays a part in the evolution of the shopping experiences retailers offer and helps shape the future of retail.

    We provide services to retail clients worldwide by developing and delivering an array of custom software solutions such as POS, self-checkout, and mobility solutions.

    We seek proactive and skilled resources to work in a dynamic, collaborative, and ever-changing environment.

    Responsibilities for this role include working with a cross functional team while developing application software in an agile framework and supporting software test efforts.

    Responsibilities

    Troubleshoots and debugs CI/CD issues and resolve problems improving developer productivity
    Manage the internal build pipelines – including managing access, monitoring issues with builds, managing maintenance release builds and upgrades
    Supports day to day development operations – including managing access to build artifacts, monitors the cards that are on build, collaborates with downstream teams on build issues
    Supports periodic release cycle activities including builds, backports, maintenance and upgrades

    Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based, mobile, or Internet-related computer programs.

    Code will be used in commercial applications in the Retail Software Solutions business.
    Demonstrates growth of expertise in a product line and scope of retail domain knowledge
    Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Maintain, support, and troubleshoot existing portfolio of applications.
    Documenting and presenting software design. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
    Interacts with cross functional teams to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Collaborate with other developers and quality assurance engineers to deliver high quality products.
    Communicate status and identify project risks.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree in computer science/computer engineering or equivalent experience
    Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control and testing
    Knowledge on software development using the following technologies is a plus - Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Docker, Linux, GitLab, Jenkins, MongoDB, REST, OpenAPI specification is a plus
    Knowledge on DevOps processes and tools is a plus
    Experience in analyzing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting software solutions for highly transactional systems.
    Experience with Agile development methodology.
    Responsible, organized, and hard working.
    Effective communication skills and team player with can-do attitude.
    Meeting and adhering to programming standards and practices throughout SDLC
