    NCG Associates is a respected healthcare staffing agency committed to connecting skilled healthcare professionals with premier healthcare facilities. We are currently in search of a meticulous and seasoned Certified Surgical Tech (CST) to complement our team. As a CST at NCG Associates, you will thrive in a dynamic surgical environment, supporting surgeons and ensuring the seamless progress of surgical procedures.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare operating rooms for surgeries by verifying the availability of all necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment
    • Assist surgeons and the surgical team during procedures by providing instruments, sutures, and supplies
    • Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical processes
    • Handle the preparation and upkeep of surgical dressings, drains, and suture materials
    • Safely manage the disposal of contaminated sharps and biohazardous waste
    • Clean and restock operating rooms post procedures
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to uphold patient safety and achieve optimal results
    • Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines

    Requirements

    • Valid CST certification
    • High school diploma or equivalent; BLS Certification; Certificate or Associate's Surgical Tech degree OR 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in place of the certification or degree
    • Proficient knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment, and procedures
    • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Capability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal aptitude
    • Detail-oriented with a keen focus on accuracy and sterile techniques
    • Capacity to work harmoniously in a team environment
    • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

    Benefits

    Job Location: Kansas City, KS

    Salary: $2000 @40hrs weekly

    Department: CST OR

    Desired Start Date: As soon as possible

    Duration of Assignment: 14 weeks, with the first week consisting of two days of orientation

    Weekly Hours: 40; Totaling 80 per pay period

    Shift and Time: 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM on Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri

    Weekend Rotation: No weekend shifts required

    On-call Requirements: Mandatory as per unit needs

    Holiday Requirements: No obligatory holidays; If a holiday falls on a workday, holiday pay hours will be adjusted in the subsequent pay period

    Floating Requirements: Will be rotated to all operating rooms

    Experience Needed: High school diploma or equivalent; BLS Certification; Certificate or Associate's Surgical Tech degree OR 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in lieu of certification or degree.

    Preferred Experience: 1.5 to 2 years of travel experience

    Required Certificates: BLS
