    Mechanical Engineer

    Our client is dedicated to crafting robots tailored for real-world applications, aimed at enhancing human well-being and addressing the pressing issue of labor scarcity. With a rich history dating back to the DARPA Robotics Challenge, their team has consistently developed cutting-edge robotics solutions. Their expertise spans the entire robotics spectrum, tackling some of society's most critical challenges, with the vision of positively impacting the world. Joining their team means contributing to the development of state-of-the-art, versatile robots engineered to seamlessly interact in human environments and utilize human tools. These robots are designed to collaborate with humans, navigate human spaces, and manipulate their surroundings. They are currently seeking highly motivated and skilled engineers with hands-on experience and a deepseated enthusiasm for robotics. Specifically, they are in search of a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record in system design and integration.

    Responsibilities:


    • Collaborate with a small cross-disciplinary team of engineers


    • Participate in creative brainstorming for concept generation


    • Conduct engineering analysis to drive design decisions


    • Compare concepts via iterative design, prototype, assembly, and test


    • Detailed design of structures, joints, mechanisms, and actuators


    • Perform analysis (FEA, etc.) to optimize and validate design


    • Create GD&T-informed drawings, a Bill of Material, and procurement documentation


    • Produce assembly instructions and finalize project documentation


    • Participate in pilot build of your design

    Requirements:


    • 5+ years of experience in development of robotic systems, or similar


    • Mastery of engineering fundamentals / first principles


    • High proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)


    • Exceptional attention to detail


    • Excellent teamwork and collaboration


    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills


    • The ability to multi-task and manage conflicting deadlines


    • Strong written and verbal communication


    • Great team player able to perform within a dynamic start-up environment
    • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
