    Description


    The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for efficient operations of the warehousing and shipping/receiving functions, leading the team of logistics, shipping/receiving, materials handling, and inventory. Primary responsibilities encompass leadership and supervision of employees, finished goods and raw material inventory, Safety & Health, and improving productivity.

    Responsibilities:
    • Supervise and manage warehouse operations to support production
    • Lead a team of shipper/receivers, material handler, and logistics clerk responsible for raw materials, finished goods, non-raw material items shipping, receiving, warehousing work
    • Supervise and manage raw material on-time delivery to production floor and fetch back the finished goods into warehouse
    • Work closely with purchasing, production team, maintain optimum level of raw materials and drive cost reductions
    • Maintain accurate inventory, manage FIFO, material shelf life as well as controlled material management if applicable
    • Conduct raw materials, finished goods inventory count and report raw material, finished goods inventory
    • Evaluate, motivate, and train employees, ensure the use of manpower efficiently
    • Plan and organize daily operation of loading/unloading of materials, verify orders, and maintain accurate documentations
    • Implement and maintain standard procedures and policies, drive 5S, lean manufacturing activities
    • Proactively identify, present, justify, and implement programs for continuous improvements in costs, processed, policies, customer service levels, and employee relations
    • Work closely with EHS to ensure the implementation and maintenance of effective programs, and promote a positive safety & health awareness within the supervisory and employee groups
    • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Canadian Solar Solution Code of Business Conduct
    • Support ISO 9001 activities
    • Adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and policies
    • Conduct other duties as required
    Qualifications and Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in warehouse management position, preferable in an volume manufacturing environment
    • Logistics experience required for local, national and international shipping
    • Post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in related field
    • Competent computer skills in MS Office, previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system
    • High level of self- motivation, initiative, and work under pressure
    • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
    • Well organized, energetic and a team player
    • Flexibility in hours is mandatory
    • Forklift certificate an asset
