Job Summary
We are seeking an Operations Engineer to join our team at Stratolaunch. As an Operations Engineer you will accept a critical role in achieving new milestones in aviation and enable development of high-speed test vehicles to be air-launched from Stratolaunch Carrier Aircraft.Responsibilities
The Operations Engineer will provide effective leadership as the focal point for high-speed vehicle operations planning and execution to include the potential to act as liaison to Test Director for vehicle mission readiness. This includes coordinating closely with multiple engineers,vehicle crew chiefs ground support personnel ensuring operational priorities are understood executed providing organization preparation supporting Test Flight Readiness Reviews identifying test hazards developing implementing real time mitigation actions supporting maintenance testing teams fulfilling operational necessities controlling on-vehicle priorities schedules meeting final assembly test flight readiness requirements working closely respective Crew Chiefs ensuring proper configuration complete supporting mission priorities assisting functional system planning execution areas such avionics propulsion integration demonstration activities working operations teams successful mating integrated systems testing responding emergency situations safety equipment acting point contact first responders managing operations incident contributing data gathering documenting reviewed controlled providing inputs refine mature Concept Operations including ground flight operational procedures timelines checklists emergency response actions starting post manufacture initial testing return flight ready state participating payload customer meetings meetings payload integration de-integration planning integrated vehicle data product delivery facilitating hardware software integration integrated testing travel needed support design tasks demonstrating integrity accountability initiative fulfilling commitments developing concept launch recovery locations coordination external parties
