Job description

Responsibilities:

Supervises and coordinates activities of warehouse and shipping employees by
performing the following duties.
Train employees on safety, equipment and processes
Schedule assignments and overtime (when needed)
Plans layout of warehouse and storage areas while taking into consideration: turnover, size,
weight, and related factors of items stored
Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to
determine adequacy of stock levels
Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock
control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow
Issues written and oral instructions
Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and
procedures
Create and maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances
Investigate and correct errors

Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One to three years related industry experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience
Possess effective communication skills which include verbal and written
Must have experience with Microsoft Office
Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
