Nurse Extern Per Diem Days Position Summary
The role of a nurse extern is designed to support student nurses who are enrolled in a nursing program approved by the Arizona Board of Nursing. As a nurse extern, you will assist in basic nursing tasks and documentation, helping you transition effectively into the RN role in the future. It's an opportunity to enhance your education and provide safe, quality care to patients.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Seeking candidates who can exemplify the qualities of a competent and caring nurse/caregiver. This includes showcasing patient-centered care, teamwork, evidence-based practice, leadership, and effective communication.
THE NURSE EXTERN PER DIEM DAYS CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of at least the first clinical semester rotation.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Completion of the second out of four clinical semester rotations.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Current BLS/CPR certification.
REQUIRED COURSE(S) TRAINING: Graduation from an accredited nursing program and eligibility to take the NCLEX within six months of employment.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/REGISTRATION: ACLS
