    Description
    • Plans, directs, and controls the activities for design, development, test, and release of products.
    • Responsible for hiring, resource allocation, and working out future staffing strategies.
    • Ensures projects meet cost and schedule objectives.
    • Ensures the team is adequately staffed and meets expectations.
    • Ensures applicable aspects and outputs of ASPICE are completed by the team.
    • Drives for continuous improvement of the hardware and development test processes.
    • Develops personnel, including establishment of yearly performance goals, mentoring, coaching, and presenting performance reviews on a timely basis.
    • Identifies developmental training needs and establishes work plans with employees.
    • Quotes new business opportunities and supports Sales team in technical discussions with customers.
    • Supports and signs off on design reviews.
    • Escalates issues to internal and customer management.
    • Supports Product Technical Lead in tracking, analyzing, and reporting project metrics.
    • Works with Innovation team leadership to support staffing needs and to understand new technologies which will need to be supported by the team for future production programs.
    • Works with Systems/Software Manager, Product Engineering Managers, and Design Manager to drive collaboration across the teams.

    Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor of Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree or relevant experience
    • 10+ years engineering experience in product development
    • Strong planning, monitoring, and communication skills
    • Ability to work with Global Teams
    • ISO 26262 Functional Safety Management

    Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Jama requirements management tool or equivalent
    • MS Office

    Qualifications Education Required

    Bachelors or better in Computer Engineering or related field.

    Experience Required 5 years: Preferred 10 years: 10 years:

    Hardware engineering experience in product development, preferable in the Automotive Industry
