This librarian works directly with the disciplines within the health professions and related life sciences and actively engages in relationship building with faculty and students as well as with university departments, research teams, and partner organizations.

We seek candidates who embrace collaborative relationships with library colleagues and innovative thinking to co-create and evaluate library programs and services as well as campus and community engagement initiatives.

With members of the Research and Instruction department, the Health Sciences Librarian contributes to the Libraries' online chat service.

This librarian will work in close cooperation with colleagues across the libraries and is responsible for ongoing development of online learning tools to creatively and actively promote physical and digital collections, in alignment with curricular and research needs, and we seek candidates with broad information literacy skills.

The person in this position may also support the promotion and utilization of new spaces and services focused on innovative technologies available in our main branch following the Mullins Library Renewal Phase 2 project.

The work of the Health Sciences Librarian may include supervision of a Graduate Assistant.

Along with performance, the responsibilities of this position include research and creative work and service in keeping with the faculty requirements of the University of Arkansas.

This position reports to the Director of Research and Instruction.
