    Description
    Job Title: Bartender

    Supervisor: Service Manager

    General Responsibilities:

    Bartenders are expected to consistently deliver "Legendary" customer service to not only bar guests, but each person in the restaurant. Ensuring each guest has a memorable experience when their drinks and food are presented exceeding their expectations. Proactively work in a fast-paced team and guest centered environment.

    Specific Duties:
    • Report to work as scheduled, on time, well-groomed and dressed in proper uniform.
    • Mix cocktails, serve and pour wine, bottled beer and draft beer according to Reata's protocol.
    • Perform Reata's 10 Step to Server Excellence to each bar, lounge and cocktail guest.
    • Perform all bar opening and closing duties.
    • Slices fruit garnishes at a prescribed par level each day for all bars.
    • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night, and be able to account for all and any discrepancies in the final drawer.
    • Assist in seating guests, clearing, cleaning and resetting bar or tables for next guest
    • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area per the health department's requirements.
    • Handle customer complaints in a calm, courteous manner. Inform supervisors of any customer complaints or suggestions.
    • Practice teamwork by assisting other employees whenever needed.
    • Perform any extended duties as assigned by a manager.
    • Protect Reata Restaurant from liability under Dram Shop Rule by practicing responsible alcohol service measures at all times.
    • Understand and enforce local Alcohol and Beverage Commission laws and regulations.
    Qualifications:
    • Must be 18 years old.
    • Must have an optimistic and assertive attitude.
    • Thrives in a fast paced environment.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lift and carry 35lbs as needed.
    • Continuous use of hand and arms.
    • Continuous standing, walking, climbing, reaching and twisting.
