- Prepare field change documents and requests for information.
- Create cost estimates and review project design and bill of materials for completeness.
- Initiate requisitions for field purchases and prepare quantity takeoffs for materials and equipment.
- Verify commodities using quantity tracking systems or other database systems as required.
- Validate the installation of materials through inspections and documentation.
- Ensure material quality and workmanship meet the required quality standards based on codes, specifications, and design drawings.
- Interface with engineers, superintendents, and craft professionals to interpret engineering designs, vendor documents, and other technical information.
- Utilize and leverage automation software and processes.
- Review or lead the preparation of construction estimates, cost engineering studies, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate interfaces between the construction automation plan and the project controls program.
- Analyze activities to determine scope, assisting project personnel with time and resource estimations.
- Level 1: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 5-8 years of relevant experience, or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
- Level 2: Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment, education, and travel history.
- Candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of their specialization and creatively resolve a wide range of issues.
- Familiarity with design codes and standards, including NFPA and NQA-1, is expected.
- Preference for experience with DOE, DOD, or commercial nuclear construction projects.
- Recent experience in a similar Electrical Field Engineer role is advantageous.

Project Overview:
The construction project operates on various schedules with different start times. Employees may be required to work overtime, weekends, and/or night shifts when business needs arise.
Citizenship and Security Requirements:
This role is open exclusively to U.S. citizens. Successful candidates must provide proof of U.S. citizenship to gain badge access to the site. All candidates are required to complete a security questionnaire and clear site access requirements. Employment is contingent upon agreeing to and passing random drug and alcohol testing. Candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance as applicable.
