    Job Description:

    Title: Physician Assistant

    Specialty: Orthopedic

    Location: Brooklyn, NY

    Duration: 60 weeks

    Shift: Day Shift, M-F (3x12 & 4x10)

    Pay Rate: $100/hr. (travel/lodging expenses will be reimbursed as well)

    Required:

    -Inpatient bedside ED coverage in orthopedics.

    -Inpatient consults

    -ASAP start - 3 weeks to 1 month for credentialing

    -Privileges being granted for billing purposes are not a priority, they are looking for continuity of patient care above all else

    -Solo coverage – being called into a patient's room to do consults. There is an attending physician on call at all times if the PA needs backup. The chief resident will be around too in addition to the regular ER/inpatient staff of the hospital.

    -A local candidate is preferred

    Required Documents:

    -Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certificate required.

    -NY State Physician Assistant License

    -Basic Life Support (AHA)

    -Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant.

    -Must have ortho experience.
