    JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:


    Under the direction of the HR Manager, with a dotted line responsibility to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.

    The HRBP is responsible for addressing employee relations issues, recruitment, compliance, benefits, compensation, coaching leadership, HR processes, and procedures; while serving as a change agent to drive business results.

    This position will help build leadership and management capability, enhance the employee experience, provide HR perspective to business decisions, and influence, develop, and integrate targeted people strategies.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.

    Works in conjunction with the EHS Manager to establish and maintain all policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment.

    Partners with business unit leaders to execute business plans understand HR implications, hiring, retention, and training in alignment with business needs, support, influence execution of business plans & metrics
    Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
    Manages and resolves typical employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations. May partner with HR Manager on more complex issues like workplace harassment, discrimination, etc...
    Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Represent the organization at personnel unemployment insurance-related hearings and investigations.
    Coaches and mentors managers on employee issues, performance management, and performance evaluations
    Responsible for recruiting, transfers, promotions, and terminations of non‐exempt and plant employees. Prepare offer letters within set guidelines and complete separation paperwork timely
    May develop and perform activities supporting recruiting and retention goals such as developing an onboarding curriculum, stay interviews, and exit interviews
    Identifies training needs for business units and individual coaching needs. Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
    Facilitates the onboarding program with our lead trainer, and ensures completion of new hire paperwork

    Responsible for following established HR processes and HR administration within the HR system, ERP for the entire employee life cycle including but not limited to; data entry, offer letters, separation paperwork, discipline, attendance management, hourly performance reviews, and administering benefits programs like safety shoes, safety glasses, uniforms, etc...

    Act as a resource for employees on Ceridian, general benefit questions, employee engagement activities, and other employee questions


    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


    Requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field from a four-year college or university and 3 to 5 years' experience in human resources in a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    PHR or SHRM-SCP a plus, Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.


    COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
    Must be able to effectively communicate with other employees to share information, solve problems, and instruct or train others.

    Must have the ability to read and interpret complex legal documents. Must be able to write documents and correspondence. Proven experience in coaching/mentoring

    supervisors/managers,

    dealing with difficult conversations and maintaining professionalism during high-stress situations. Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.


    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    Knowledgeable or familiarity with applicable ISO/TS and quality system requirements and policies. Familiarity and experience with an HRIS like Ceridian, ADP, Paycom, etc.


    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.

    The noise level in the work environment is low in the office, however, when going on the manufacturing floor the level of work noise is moderate.

    Interplant travel required weekly between Brown Deer and Milwaukee plants
