- Demonstrate a deep understanding of compliance and risk management requirements specific to the supported area.
- Utilize extensive specialized knowledge to serve as an internal consultant or final authority in matters concerning accounting for income taxes.
- Offer expert technical income tax consultation on complex financial transactions across the enterprise, making informed recommendations regarding income tax and accounting for income tax implications.
- Direct and meticulously review the work of less experienced team members.
- Perform activities requiring subject matter expertise in all facets of income tax accounting or corporate income taxes, while ensuring adherence to the Company's internal control policies and ongoing compliance.
- Lead the implementation of highly complex projects or initiatives that impact multiple lines of business companywide.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to drive the implementation of key risk initiatives.
- 5+ years of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated proficiency through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Over 5 years of experience in public company income tax provision, gained from Public Accounting and/or SEC registrant environments.
- Familiarity with Longview Tax Provision or similar tax provision software.
- Extensive experience in researching complex income tax accounting issues and recommending suitable solutions.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in managing or leading the work of lower-level staff members.
