- The Assistant Director of Nursing reports to the Director of Operations and works collaboratively with the Medical Directors and Clinical Director at Ohana. The individual is responsible for ensuring the quality of and access to care in the Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Residential Ohana Programming. Assists in the development of programming and the daily operations of the Partial Hospitalization Program, Intensive Outpatient Program, and Residential Program. Direct reports will include staff nurses including nurse practitioners, RNs, medical assistants, and behavioral specialists. The assistant director is responsible and accountable for assigned tasks such as supervising the department s daily operations, including but not limited to, being a resource and role model to staff for problem resolution with issues regarding patient care, service delivery, safety, supplies, equipment, computer software, and customer concerns.
- Experience
- Master s degree in psychiatric nursing or related field with experience in administration; or Baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field with experience in psychiatric nursing and two (2) years of experience in nursing administration; or minimum of four (4) years experience in nursing administration or supervision and experience in psychiatric nursing.
- Education
- Bachelor s degree required, BSN/MSN preferred; or expected completion of BSN within one year for those already enrolled.
- Licensure/Certifications
- State of CA RN license required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required. De-escalation certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of hire.

The assistant director supports financial viability with attention to expenses, revenue, utilization and productivity in assigned cost centers, and tactical execution of Lean concepts.
