    Duties


    • You will instruct others on communications related topics to support the mission of the organization.
    • You will analyze telecommunications services bills to identify and investigate anomalies (e.g., excessive charges).
    • You will interpret current policy and procedures to provide customer service to officers and staff agencies.
    • You will determine the type and quantity of equipment and materials needed for proposed projects, modifications, or repairs of existing/required systems.
    • You will conduct maintenance, installation, and operation of wireless and wired transmission systems to diagnose problems and identify corrective measures.
    • You will generate required documentation to accomplish assigned tasks including proposals, technical reports, specifications, work unit plans, as-built drawings and project reviews

    Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Establishing communication services for customers in accordance with Department of Defense regulations and procedures; 2) Researching current and requested telecommunications services to ensure cost effectiveness; 3) Analyzing telecommunications billing reports to investigate possible abuse and fraud and recommend corrective actions; 4) Performing maintenance and repairs on telecommunications systems

    three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.

    degree that is related to the position being filled
