    Description


    SummaryUnder the direction of an assigned team member, provides care by selecting and assembling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for the surgical procedure: assisting with patient positioning and prep; managing clean and contaminated instruments and supplies; scrubbing for procedures and passing instruments.

    Must be able to anticipate, plan, and respond to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members. Must be able to recognize and handle biohazard materials correctly. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, patient families, coworkers, and physicians.
    EducationCompleted High school education or GED. Must be enrolled in a Surgical Technician ProgramLicensure/CertificationMust have current CPR certification.
    ExperienceMust be enrolled in a Surgical Technician Program.
    Other QualificationsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Must be able to lift 50 pounds; 100 pounds shared lifting; push 200pounds.
