Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming shopping experience for every customer. In this role, you will handle transactions accurately and assist customers with their needs. Duties
- Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change.
- Reconciles cash drawer daily.
- Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased or refers them to someone who can.
- Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and, when necessary, refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to departments as needed.
- Acts as backup to switchboard operator.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Keeps work area neat and clean.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately.
- Experience in grocery store or retail environments is advantageous.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
