Selinsgrove Center is located in a nice rural location just outside the Borough of Selinsgrove only a couple of minutes from town, Selinsgrove Area Schools, and Susquehanna University. Come join us at the Selinsgrove Center and start your career in public service today DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will provide opportunities for our consumers to meet their personal life goals by supporting, monitoring, and directing their participation in programming within the Therapeutic Activity Services department. You will conduct a variety of programs and activities for participants as identified in their Individual Support Plans. You will assist participants who have various levels of mobility, communication, and skills during center-wide activities, trips off site, in-house activities, and all employment areas including integrated as well as community employment. You will maintain your work area in a safe and clean manner and occasionally assist the residential staff with consumer treatment and training services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 2nd shift 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM; rotating days, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be required to work different shifts and have different break days to accommodate special events. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (commonwealth title); or Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
