    Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

    We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at TRC Companies. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing services within the Primary Care setting.

    About the Role:

    • You will monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice within NYS RN Scope of Practice.
    • You will observe and interpret patients' symptoms and communicate them to physicians.
    • You will collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
    • You will perform routine procedures such as blood pressure measurements, administering injections, and document in patients' charts as per defined parameters.
    • You will adjust and administer patients' medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders.
    • You will inspect facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety.
    • You will provide instant medical care in emergencies.
    • You will foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Provide assessment, treatment, care, and timely follow-up as directed by provider order, established treatment plans, and/or as warranted by medical necessity.
    2. Work with the primary healthcare team to provide patients with primary medical care services within the standard of care for patients.
    3. Evaluate medical needs as they arise and provides nursing care or recommends referral for appropriate medical services.
    4. Collaborate with healthcare team to create, document, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients.
    5. Available for walk-in appointments and emergency situations, as needed.
    6. Provide emergency/acute evaluation and intervention.
    7. Ensure control of communicable disease and infection through identification and assessment, reporting to medical authorities, and implementing protective and preventative measures.
    8. Perform and document routine procedures such as vitals, vaccinations, treatment of injuries, etc.
    9. Record complete, timely, and legible medical records.
    10. Maintain current knowledge of nursing care practices.
    11. Possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
    12. Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help to treat the health issue they are experiencing.
    13. Serve on committees as needed or assigned.
    14. Maintain patient confidentiality and complies with all federal and state health information privacy laws.
    15. Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, ongoing quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
    16. Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
    17. Perform all other duties as needed or assigned.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • You must possess strong nursing skills and abilities in order to provide comprehensive care on a daily basis as well as in emergency situations.
    • A firm understanding of current and relevant nursing/medical policies/procedures/practices is essential.
    • You must possess extensive knowledge of all applicable state and federal healthcare regulations (i.e. HIPAA, etc.).
    • You must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
    • You must be self-directed and able to initiate and manage multiple responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across various channels are paramount.
    • Experience with individuals with disabilities is helpful.
    • You must have the ability and willingness to learn and utilize new technology (i.e. EHR, etc.).
    • You must have sound technical abilities as related to routine and complex nursing tasks, including but not limited to - g-tubes and principles of oxygen administration.
    • You must be flexible and willing to work non-traditional hours as needed or assigned to meet patient need.
    • Physical condition or reasonable accommodation(s) commensurate with the demands of the job.
    • You must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds waist high.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or related field, with New York State licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (graduates must obtain licensure within 90-days of offer and must work under the direct supervision of licensed RN Manager), plus one (1) year of experience serving in a nursing capacity (excluding graduates).
    • Associates Degree in Nursing, or related field, with New York State licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (graduates must obtain licensure within 90-days of offer and must work under the direct supervision of licensed RN Supervisor or RN Manager), plus three (3) years of experience serving in a nursing capacity (excluding graduates).
