- Develop a deeper understanding of the grain business and industry
- Learn the origination strategies and contracts that aid in the procurement of grain
- Gain a better understanding of futures, basis, options, and typical market trends
- Learn to build and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Assist in educating customers on current market trends, grain quotes, contract alternatives and grain marketing programs
- Learn to communicate agricultural commentary as it relates to local and global agricultural economies
- Understand and perform day-to-day grain operations including loading and unloading of grain, equipment maintenance and housekeeping and loading of unit trains
- Assist in creating and editing grain contracts
- Work with the most up-to-date software and technology within grain industry
- Opportunity to operate locomotive during loading of unit trains

- Currently pursuing a degree in Ag Business, Business Management, or other Agriculture related degree program
- Agricultural background preferred
