    Senior Accountant

    Foothill Ranch, CA – Onsite Required


    Position Description:


    DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Accountant who will join our industry leading team at our location in Foothill Ranch, CA.

    The Accountant will help with month-end close and prepare COGs and production reports, reconciling inventory, developing standards and analyzing the production flow.

    The Accountant will ensure submitted information is in compliance with company accounting standards and any government requirements (Caltrans, Prevailing Wage, FAR, etc.).

    An ideal background would be someone with 5+ years of accounting experience with firm(s) with US Government non-commercial contracts. Some cost accounting experience is desired.


    Required Skills and Responsibilities:
    Prepare monthly general ledger entries and perform month-end review of financial statements.

    Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory and WIP evaluation, inventory roll forward

    Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories

    Perform detailed financial statement analysis and prepare schedule for all P/L accounts.

    Prepare a detailed monthly actual to actual and actual to budget analysis.

    Prepare and submit CPFF Vouchers and other invoices

    Perform monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.

    Prepare payroll and related reconciliations (401k, PTO, etc.)

    Assist with monthly and yearly forecasting and budgeting process.

    Assist monthly project gross margin and profitability report.

    Ensure compliance with GAAP and FAR principles.

    Provide support for audits and tax filings.

    Perform other duties as assigned by management.

    Compute Shop Floor Overhead Burden rates

    Knowledge of AP/AR and Journal Entries

    Review contract documents for financial details to set up new projects

    Provide support to the Project Management group including cost and variance analysis

    Assisting with recognizing, monitoring, and providing potential solutions for risks/issues


    Required Qualifications:
    Positive, "can-do" attitude and talent/experience leading people and cultivating a healthy customer relationship

    Proven ability, capacity, and aptitude with planning, organizing, supervising, coordinating technical work, and obtaining cooperation from others (must be able to build rapport with project staff)

    Experience in Accounting Close activities (month-end reviews, financial statement analysis, preparing monthly actual to actual/actual to budget analysis, reconciliations, etc.)

    Experience with Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

    Strong knowledge of GAAP and FAR Cost Principles


    Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
    Some working experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision or Dynamics 365 Business Central

    Excellent oral and written communication skills

    Superb organizational and documentation skills

    Experience working and supporting multiple teams

    Project a client-focused, resourceful, take initiative, pro-active approach

    Work under general direction in an intense environment.

    Education/Experience:
    Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

    Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience as an accountant

    Clearance Level Required:
    US Person Required, Security Clearance Not Required

    Must have the ability to stoop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.

    Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine

    Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.


    May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.


    Salary:
    $85k-$140k

    Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
