    Shift: To be discussed, some call will be required Description: The Echo/Vascular Technologist will provide extraordinary care to in patients and out patients by performing a variety of diagnostic cardiac or vascular exams under the direction of a physician for identification of abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis.

    This position has responsibility to acquire, record, catalog, and measure diagnostic quality cardiac ultrasound procedures. The Echo/Vascular Tech performs exams using proper imaging techniques to ensure timely, safe, and high quality diagnostic exams. ARDMS and BLS required. Degree/Certificate from an approved ultrasound program is preferred. Experience in the clinic and hospital setting is preferred. Additional travelers will be required to float if needed. They will only be asked to float within their skill set. ACLS is required on 4 North, Stroke and Trauma, ICU, and ER. So we only need BLS for the MedSurg/Ortho and 4 South posting. Our facility is licensed for 400+ beds and provides a variety of clinical services to meet each patient's needs.

    We are the Lead Level 3 Trauma Center for the region, have a nationally-recognized Intensive Care Unit, provide critical care to newborns as young as 28 weeks, perform state-of-the-art diagnostics in our radiology department, and provide complete testing and surgical capabilities for the cardiology patient among many more services.

    Shannon Medical Center has a 110 mile radius rule, no contractor will be employed if they live within this radius.

    ALL CONTRACT NURSES WILL NEED TO PASS A SHORT MEDICATION ADMINSTRATION TEST.
