    At Lakeshore Day Camps the Camp Counselor's main role is to help campers have a fun and safe day at camp Camp Counselors spend the summer working with kids of different ages, engaging in a range of fun activities, events and field trips A summer to remember for campers and counselors alike

    Required Skills:

    • Must have experience working with kids of all ages, ideal candidates will have experience in camps or childcare.
    • Exceptional organizational, planning skills and are detail oriented.
    • Problem Solver & Self-Starter
    • Excellent Interpersonal skills
    • Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service
    • Ability to perform job duties with limited supervision/direction after training has been completed.
    • Must produce a high quality of product/work and remain focused in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions.
    • First Aid and CPR/AED certification (Child, Infant and Adult)

    Physical Requirements:

    • Swimming daily.
    • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
    • Walk up and down 4 flights of stairs at a time.
    • Spend up to 4 hours outside in direct sunlight.
    • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

    Additional Expectations:

    • Be punctual and arrive to work on time, as scheduled
    • Possess and exhibit a good work ethic under stress
    • Meet with Camp Director for weekly 1 on 1 meetings
    • Always help to maintain a safe environment while allowing for a fun atmosphere.
    • Report any unsafe conditions or equipment to Camp Director
    • Be a problem solver. Identify issues, compile possible solutions, using good judgment decide and solve the problem.
    • Communicate all billing concerns, inquires, disputes with Camp Director to make sure she has all the information necessary before speaking to the member/guest
    • Be active participant with the kids
