Emergency Technician at Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital in San Pedro, CA. Positions available are Per-Diem and will work 12-hour Variable shifts.
The Emergency Services Technician role is a non-licensed health care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks/duties and works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). These duties may include, but are not limited to ECGs, vital signs, monitoring, basic patient care and transportation. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age-specific needs based on the Emergency Department scope of service.

Required Qualifications:
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Requires fluent ability to understand oral and written English directives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: California Emergency Medical Technician License or
- Coursework/Training: California Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License or
- Coursework/Training: California Paramedic License
- Upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician License Or
- Upon hire: Emergency Medical Technician Advanced License Or
- Upon hire: Paramedic License
- 6 months of Recent hospital direct patient care experience on an acute, sub-acute or skilled nursing facility.
- 6 months of Basic arrhythmia identification course suggested.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
