    Description
    Responsibilities:
    • Manage financial statements, books and records in accordance with GAAP and IFRS to ensure compliance with state and federal law, particularly such regulatory requirements as it relates to firm's status as a registered investment adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission
    • Manage the accounting, audit, budgeting, forecasting and tax functions
    • Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, receivables, fixed asset and other sub-ledgers
    • Prepare / assist in producing financial results/reporting for management, the parent company and the board of directors
    • Manage internal and external audits functions
    • Perform financial Planning and analysis work including implementation of strategy / client costing and profitability reporting
    • Oversee budget/forecast tracking, monitoring and comparison reporting
    • Maintain and evolve internal controls, contract management, and vendor management and due diligence environment
    • Assist in supporting tactical and strategic initiatives
    • Manage and develop a team of accountants
      Requirements:
      • 10+ years of Public/Private Accounting experience with Investment Management industry knowledge
      • CPA qualification
      • Experience managing and developing a team, including performance reviews
      • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP and IFRS), U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
      • You are a problem solver capable of implementing and effectively using technology (MS Excel, and other business tools)
      • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Tax
        This Financial Accounting Manager role requires someone to work 3 days per week in the midtown Manhattan office so please only apply if you are able to travel to this location, have relevant experience for the role, and are eligible to work in the United States.
