    GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


    Join our team and mission in Lander, WY The Wyoming Life Resource Center (WLRC) is seeking a Licensed Counselor to join a team of dedicated professionals serving residents in our Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.


    • Provides assessments for caseload annually, or as needed. Assessments may include the development of treatment plans for specific goals and treatments. Assessments may consist of adaptive assessments, descriptive analysis, indirect assessments, interviews, criterion-referenced assessments, etc.
    • Develop and implement treatment plans for caseload based on current evidence-based practice. Make revisions as necessary for client needs, train, model and provide active feedback to staff on implementation of treatment plans.
    • Train staff on collecting data regarding interventions and skills in the treatment plans.
    • Observe and support residents to ensure treatment plans are adequate and appropriate for residents' needs.
    • Develop reports and present data on treatment interventions to various committees and teams. These teams may include IDT's, Behavior Medication Review Committee, Treatment Plan Review Committee, Human Rights Committee, Team Meetings, Shift Meetings, etc.
    • Interact with other professional disciplines and staff to ensure residents biopsychosocial needs are recognized and addressed, including training staff as necessary on treatment plans, guidelines, intervention techniques, mental health and intellectual disability.
    • Participate in debriefing with direct support staff and team members when complex interventions are used with residents.
    • Work directly with residents and staff to support and teach new skills. May include working some evening and weekend hours.
    • Review campus treatment plans for input and revisions.
    • Participate in the Human Rights Committee (HRC) to ensure rights restrictions have gone through due process and least restrictive interventions have been deployed prior to reviewing restrictions with HRC.
    • Ensure regulatory guidelines have been followed.
    Qualifications


    KNOWLEDGE:

    • Knowledge of treatment theory and application to promote recovery process in Co-Occurring patients.
    • Knowledge of professional mental health treatment ethics.
    • Knowledge of human development.
    • Knowledge of behavioral cultural competencies.
    • Knowledge of interpersonal communications.
    • Knowledge of proposal research and data interpretation.
    • Knowledge of family dynamics psychological diagnostics and assessments.
    • Knowledge of abnormal psychology drugs and behavior.
    • Knowledge of state and facility policies and procedures and knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
    Master's Degree (typically in a field which meets the academic standards by the board)


    Experience:
    1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in a field which meets the academic standards by the board) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Certified Practitioner


    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
    Licensed Clinical Social Worker and/or Licensed Professional Counselor

    Necessary Special Requirements


    PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Ability to work with residents with aggressive and challenging behavioral issues and the ability to physically intervene during resident behavior episodes, as needed.
    • Must be able to safely move (twisting, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling), position and lift people with multiple and severe disabilities.
    • Ability to monitor sounds, noises, location of residents, etc. in order to assure safety and assess imminent danger and emerging concerns.

    • The Wyoming Life Resource Center participates in E-Verify. We will provide the Social Security Administration, and if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security, with information from each new employee's Form I-9 to confirm work authorization.     • A background check, including the taking of fingerprints, will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, Department of Family Services, and the F.B.I. for every successful applicant.
    • Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on safety-sensitive positions. Drug testing will be conducted on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.
