    Sr. Project Accountant

    Location: Central, NJ

    Salary/Wage: $90,000 - $120,000 per year (competitive salary and benefit package)

    Status: Full Time, Employee

    Education Level: Associate's degree

    Job Description:

    A detail-oriented professional with an associate's degree in a business-related field and 3-5 years of accounting experience is needed to take complete responsibility for the Sr. Project Accountant role and related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and maintain various project accounting reports
    • Enter monthly billing in the GL software system
    • Maintain up-to-date billing system
    • General Ledger Coding
    • Reconcile to the general ledger & process adjustments
    • Maintain Customer account files & aging reports
    • Interact with project team on a daily basis
    • Reconcile Bank Statements
    • Resolve client queries
    • Manage collection and allocation of payments
    • Follow established procedures for processing cash receipts

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Knowledge of accounts receivable & AIA billing processes
    • Knowledge of office administration and procedures
    • Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
    • Experience and working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
    • Familiarity with Timberline software is a plus
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills
