    Overview:

    We are driven by our mission: to better the lives of all those we serve. As a Communications Specialist focused on Internal Communications, you work toward that mission with the stories you tell and the information you share.

    This role will primarily focus on developing and implementing strategic communications aimed at reaching our more than 10,200 team members. Each day, you'll have writing responsibilities, editing needs, and general content development for a variety of communication mediums including our employee intranet and mobile app, so a great visual eye is a plus.

    In this role, some of your key responsibilities include:

    • Supporting team member engagement and retention by developing and delivering effective and compelling communications through a variety of channels.
    • Assisting with content planning and publishing for all digital platforms including our intranet and employee mobile app.
    • Planning, developing and publishing content to build pride for our facilities and inform our hard-to-reach audiences of key information that impacts their jobs and work-life-balance.
    • Brainstorming new, engaging ways to reach our mobile, hard-to-reach frontline staff
    • Working with leaders and team members to write news stories, blog posts and other content for our internal communications platforms.
    • Advising stakeholders on internal communications strategy including channel, timing, voice and corporate messaging.
    • Supporting internal communications during crisis issues or other events as situations arise.
    Qualifications:

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Fundamentals in internal communications, marketing, PR and digital communication
    • Principles of solid graphic design and photography
    • Interpretation and application of laws, regulations and professional standards for program/service area
    • Excellent copy-writing, editing, planning and presentation skills
    • Proficiency in web content management systems
    • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and work independently to advance corporate marketing and communication strategies and initiatives with an understanding of corporate needs and interdependencies
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    Education & Experience:

    • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or Completion of a CMC Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
    • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or related field required or 7 years of related experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree
    • 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible, professional Communications experience required
    • Experience in the Healthcare industry or a Healthcare setting preferred
