- Set up and operate CNC mill or lathe by following written and oral work instructions, changing out and adjusting tooling, and making basic code adjustments with supervisor permission as needed.
- Inspecting parts with precision measurement tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure quality expectations are met.
- Reference blueprints and utilize GD&T to create parts.
- Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on your designated machine. Maintain a clean work station and return any borrowed tools from the Tool Crib.
- Collaborate with other machinists and supervisors to work through production issues or improvements. Good written and oral communication is a must.
- Punctual and reliable.
- 2-5+ years' experience in a CNC machining role, ideally in a job shop environment.
- Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and interpret GD&T symbols
- Use of precision measurement tools
- Ability to perform shop math and convert metric measurements to inches.
- Ability to perform first article runs and inspections of parts.
- Stand for the majority of your shift, lift up to 35 pounds independently.
