Accountant (level 2) or Principal Accountant (level 3)

to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will report to the Business Manager and will support financial reporting activities. T his position falls under one of Northrop Grumman's Small Business Units,

Sonoma Photonics, Inc . and will be located onsite in

Santa Rosa, CA

Essential Functions:
Provides financial information by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
Prepare and report cost information to management and customers as well as DCAA/DCMA.
Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
This requisition may be filled at either an Accountant (level 2) or Principal Accountant (level 3)

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of Accounting experience or Master's Degree with 1 year of stated experience
Experience reconciling asset and liability accounts
Experience with financial statement preparation
Must be able to think analytically
Must work well in a team environment
Experience with Microsoft suite of products
Ability to work on site in Santa Rosa CA.
Bachelor's Degree with 6 years of Accounting experience or Master's Degree with 4 years of stated experience
Experience reconciling asset and liability accounts
Experience with financial statement preparation
Must be able to think analytically
Must work well in a team environment
Experience with Microsoft suite of products
Ability to work on site in Santa Rosa CA.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance
Government reporting/compliance experience
Familiarity with GAAP, FAR, CAS
Exposure to financial reporting systems, particularly Costpoint

Salary Range:
$65,600 - $98,400

Salary Range 2:
$80,600 - $121,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
