- Position requires a master¿s degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of civil rights and/or Title IX investigator training.
- Experience in an educational environment preferred.
- Experience in the field of legal compliance is preferred.
- Experience in civil rights-related investigations or experience in education employment with a record of successfully preparing reports for civil rights, sexual, or relationship violence investigations.
- Experience in a K-12 public institution highly preferred.
- Provides guidance to students, families, and staff on their rights under Title IX, including grievance procedures and how to submit formal complaints.
- Receives, reviews, and processes formal complaints of sexual misconduct, harassment, and discrimination based on sex or gender.
- Develops and implements standard operating procedures (SOPs) and investigation protocols for Title IX-related cases.
- Coordinates and conducts prompt, fair, and impartial investigations in accordance with federal and state laws, district policies, and best practices.
- Serves as the Decision-Maker in cases where the Deputy Coordinator did not serve as an investigator.
- Designs, implements, and facilitates training for students, staff, and administrators on Title IX compliance, reporting procedures, and prevention efforts.
- Manages and tracks Title IX cases, ensuring timelines, documentation, and outcomes align with regulatory requirements.
- Configures and maintains the district¿s case management system to uphold Title IX recordkeeping standards.
- Prepares reports and documentation as needed for internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Partners with Employee Relations in matters involving employee-related Title IX complaints to ensure legal compliance.
- Provides leadership to address population-specific needs, including addressing trends and emerging issues related to sexual misconduct or gender bias.
- Monitors and interprets changes in federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidance related to Title IX.
- Obtains and maintains certification as a Title IX Coordinator and Investigator.
- Attends relevant trainings and stay current on best practices in Title IX compliance.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Actively supports the MPS Strategic Plan.
